The possability of a Google calendar…

“DownloadSquad is among the first to report of the latest news of the, now infamous and completely unannounced, Google Calendar we’ve been hearing all about. According to the DS entry, a link to the online application will appear in the upcoming Google Links, an as-yet-unreleased feature which will allow members signed into their Google Accounts easy access to various Google services. The calendar application (dubbed CL2, “A Calendar for You and the World”) will presumably be similar to a service called 30Boxes.

Stay tuned to Goognet for updates to this unverified story regarding the un-available, un-released, un-announced product.

This video is amazingly well done, and suprisingly worth the watch. Saw it 2 years back and loved it, and still love it, and I thought the soon-to-be viewers of my site, and current “loyalists”, would love it, too.

Google plans to buy Napster? Not a chance. “No, we have no plans at this time to develop a music store, or to compete with existing online and offline music retailers,” says Google.

So, how bout that OS people have been talking about?

Denied. So what did they have to say on the whole matter of a Google distro Ubuntu (”Goobuntu”) operating system? They said that “[w]e use Ubuntu internally but have no plans to distribute it outside of the company.”

All this inspite of their earnings. Though the company stock earnings did go down substantially, 19 points, the other day. That’s $70 down a stock. Big problems for Google.

But in lighter Google-related News…

Those changes to the Google website? You know, the new scroll bar thing. Well, Google hasn’t officialy announced their changes, but since people have actually seen the changes on the site, I’m pretty sure that’s a rumor that Google fans everywhere will be glad to know will be coming true in the near future.
